Parmarth works for promotion of community based organisations and in the gradual process transfer the responsibility in their shoulder for carry forward the development initiatives.
Village Water and Sanitation Committees and Regional Water and Sanitation Committees are carrying forward the WSH agenda in their respective areas by encouraging people's participation in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation process.
The organization always promotes community members in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation process. Community participation in the planning process always leads to better implementation and creates impacts in favour of poorest and marginalised community members, as they own the programme.
Preparation of Participatory Micro Plan and Legitimising it in Gram Sabha
Parmarth encourages community members and panchayat members for preparation of Participatory Micro Plan. The organisation facilitated Micro Plan has been accepted in the gram sabha meeting and it has been also implemented in transparent ways.
Conducting Issues Specific Campaign under the Leadership of Community Based Organisation
The organisation always gives priorities to demand of the community members and take up grass root issues in campaign mode of operation. The best part of the campaign mode of the operation that CBO leads it towards logical end.
Model Building for Adoption and Replication
In due course of intervention, the organisation has demonstrated good results by building model on the different developmental agenda.
The organisation has created Micro Irrigation Model, which has not only contributed in well-being of the families, but it has also reduced the migration rate, as the model has provided the productivity in agriculture.
It has also created model of Disaster Risk Reduction, in which the affected community members have been able to mange their livelihood even during drought situation.
Policy and Media Advocacy with Follow up Strategy
The organisation relates its grassroots work and experiences with policy and media advocacy work. The organisation conducts research action study and identifies the policy advocacy agenda on different issues. Further the organisation placed and shared the advocacy agenda with policy makers, administrative and political forces.
Displaying Transparency by Conducting Participatory Reflection and Review Process
The organisation conducts reflection and review exercise on annual basis and display the organisational engagement of the community members. The organisation not only shares about its engagement, but it also share about the fund flow of the year and programme progress.
Demanding Accountability and Transparency by Conducting Transparency Exercise
The organisation always encourages the community members for demanding accountability and transparency from services providers, block and district administration functionaries and panchayat functionaries. It facilitates transparency exercise like Social Audit, Jan Sunwai, Public Hearing under the leadership of CBOs, which contribute in promotion of transparency in the developmental work at grass roots level. It also contributes in increasing the accountability and responsive of PRIs members, services providers and line department functionaries.
Mainstreaming Gender and Inclusion Perspective
In targeting and reaching to community member, Parmarth always considers gender and inclusion perspective. The organisation always gives priority to women based institution and dalits groups in coverage and targeting of the programme. The organisation has also provides space to women to dalits groups in decision-making position.
