- Natural resource management
- Promotion of organic farming and low input sustainable agriculture practices
- Community based disaster risk reduction
- Food, work and livelihood rights
- Rights of women and girls
- Right to education
- Right to health and HIV/AIDS
- Right to dignity of Dalits and Raights
The key strategies involve:
- Taking sides with poor and socially excluded people with focus on girls, women, person living with HIV/AIDS, physically challenged persons, Dalits and minorities
- Rights-based approach - grounding of rights
- Partnership, networking and alliance model - Parmarth works in partnership, networking and alliances with poor, marginalised and socially excluded groups
- Critical engagement - Parmarth engages critically with community groups, governments and institutions. Its engagements may range from cooperation to confrontation but the ultimate take is always a non-violent mode
- Policy and media advocacy
- Creating models for larger replication
