Parmarth was founded in the year 1995 by local youth with a vision to work with poorest and marginalized community groups of ravine areas of Jalaun District of Uttar Pradesh. Initially, the founder members has assessed the ground situation of the areas and decided to work in the ravine, drought-hit and dacoit affected areas with legal entity.

As a result, the organisation was registered under society registration act on January 11, 1996 and started working in 10 villages of Madhogarh Block of Jalaun district of Uttar Pradesh. Today, the organisation has extended its arms at Bundelkhand Regional Level and operating from six locations with head office at Orai, Jalaun.

Legal Status

It is a voluntary organisation registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860 and having FCRA certification. It has also been registered under sections 12 (A) and 80 (G) of Income Tax Act, 1961.
